Deactivate a volume

Overview

Use the Volumes dashboard on the visual interface to deactivate a volume. Once you deactivate a volume, you cannot access files imported from that volume (aliases).

Deactivate a volume

1. From the main menu bar open Data > Volumes.
2. On the Volumes dashboard, click > Deactivate volume next to the volume you want to deactivate.
3. Click OK to confirm.
4. Once deactivated, a volume can be made active at any time. Simply click the play button under > Activate volume.

Delete a volume

Before you can delete a volume, you must deactivate the volume and delete all files which have been imported from the volume to the CGC.

To delete a volume, click > Remove volume next to the volume you want to delete.
