Please help explain "days to collection"

Days to collection is defined as time from specimen collection to diagnosis. Yet, some patients have "days to collection" value significantly longer than "days to death". For example, patient 7eb18190-5a41-4637-9783-f81bbde499e4 (breast cancer) has "days to death" = 1388 and "days to collection" 4753. Its not possible they collected the specimen ~10 years after the patient died and its difficult to believe that the specimen would have been obtained ~12 years prior to diagnosis.. Please help.
