You can install tools that you have developed yourself or third-party tools that you'd like to use for your research onto the CGC. This gives the tools fast access to TCGA data, and allows you take advantage of the CGC's scalable computational resources when running them. Our Software Development Kit (Rabix) allows you to wrap any command line tool so that it can be executed on the CGC. This process renders the tools fully portable by first installing them inside Docker containers and then describing their behavior in accordance with the Common Workflow Language.
