{"title":"Interactive timeline of cancer bioinformatics","slug":"interactive-timeline-of-cancer-bioinformatics","body":"Cancer bioinformatics has been transformed by technological advances supported, in large part, by the [National Cancer Institute](http://www.cancer.gov). In this interactive timeline we explore the initiation and development of one of the world’s largest cancer bioinformatics projects, [The Cancer Genome Atlas](http://cancergenome.nih.gov). We’ve added links to papers, videos, and web resources describing both TCGA as well as the more recent Cancer Genomics Cloud Pilots (one of which we are excited to be developing!).\n\nTake a trip down memory lane with us and see just how far cancer bioinformatics has come in the past ten years.\n[block:embed]\n{\n \"html\": false,\n \"url\": \"https://cdn.knightlab.com/libs/timeline3/latest/embed/index.html?source=1qszSSoU36lYn-EESpzRGgyX7yEnkBH6d9HpsTXYEIjI&font=Default&lang=en&initial_zoom=2&height=650\",\n \"title\": \"TimelineJS Embed\",\n \"favicon\": \"https://cdn.knightlab.com/libs/purpleline/latest/img/favicon.png\",\n \"iframe\": true,\n \"width\": \"100%\",\n \"height\": \"700px\"\n}\n[/block]","_id":"56044cae0c78b00d0039b180","user":{"name":"Seven Bridges","username":"","_id":"554290cd6592e60d00027d17"},"createdAt":"2015-09-24T19:19:00.000Z","project":"55faf11ba62ba1170021a9a7","tags":[],"__v":1,"changelog":[{"type":"added","update":"","_id":"56044d2890ee490d00440544"}],"metadata":{"title":"","description":"","image":[]}}
